TRAVEL & LIFESTYLE BLOG
Prior to hopping on the plane to Florida, I was home in Toronto, and it was bitter, cold and -20 degrees. Leaving the cold behind, I made my way to the CIRC Hotel in Hollywood, Florida and just 10 minutes away from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and just a short drive to Miami. I didn’t get a chance to check out the ArtsPark while I was there, but it was a short walk from the CIRC. There was such an array of things to do and see within walking distance of the hotel.
Check-in was incredibly smooth, and the staff was friendly. After the long flight, I was exhausted, but it was hard not to love the aesthetic. The hotel is updated and modern, sleek and clean with sharp pops of colours. The design was immaculate, from every sconce to vase placed with deep purple orchids.
Once in my room, the sleek style that decorated the lobby had carried over, with an ever immaculate eye. I stayed in the deluxe king room with balcony which was comfortable and had a great view of the city, but nothing like the rooftop. After spending some time unwinding, everything was so incredibly inviting and surrounded with such lush greenery that I had to head upstairs to the roof to check out the view.
The rooftop pool and lounge were terrific, providing an excellent view as well as the relaxed and fun ambiance. I found myself there quite a bit, soaking up the warmth after fleeing the cold of Toronto. From here, you could look out over the city, which was breathtaking. Because I spent most of my time up here, I frequented the lounge as well.
The Muse is the CIRC’s rooftop bar and lounge, and let me tell you, it was a great place to relax and unwind. The design is kept incredibly chic, especially compared to the modern vibe of the rest of the hotel and the view was amazing during the day, and at night the sky was dotted with stars. The Muse was in the most spectacular location, and their cocktails were beyond yummy. I spent both day and night here and would definitely go again.
Not only that, the restaurant, Olivia, was gorgeous and elegant. It’s decorated in creams and ivories, as well as continuing the modern theme throughout. The Italian food was to die for on top of it all. I ordered the spaghetti with grilled shrimp and probably had one too many pieces of bread, but I couldn’t help it, it was that good. Who can say no to warm, buttered bread anyway?
The CIRC Hotel was amazing and an excellent choice for anyone looking to head to Fort Lauderdale. You’re located close enough that the drive isn’t far from hitting all the best spots in the city, nor do you have to travel after a long flight, which is a relief.
